A second group of Gardaí based in Carlow has completed the stinger training course.
The vehicle stopping device is used as a tactical tyre-puncturing tool during managed containment operations to safely halt motorists that maybe fleeing or dangerously driving.

The latest delivery came under direction of the locally based Roads Policing Team – Sergeant Mairead Lacey, Garda Tom Hennessy and Garda Paul Keane.
