Search underway for woman missing in Carlow town

The Garda sub aqua unit and the Carlow and Kilkenny civil defence are helping in the search for a missing woman in Carlow town this morning.

They are currently conducting a search of the River Barrow following initial searches in the town last night.

The woman,who’s believed to be in her 50’s was reported missing after 5pm on Friday evening

Weather conditions are being described as difficult with high winds and heavy rain hampering search efforts.
