In the Michael Lyng Motors senior football championship Eire Og moved a step closer to a semi-final place with a comprehensive win over Ballinabranna at Netwatch Cullen Park yesterday evening, it finished Eire Og 4-16, Ballinabranna 1-4.
Their goals coming from Eric McCormack, Sean Gannon, Cormac Mullins and Eoghan Ruth.
Kildavin-Clonegal made sure of a quarter final place with a four point win over Tinryland in a hard fought encounter, 1-12 to 0-11 was the final score.

Tinryland were without the services of star forward Paul Broderick and Shane Redmond who are injured.
Meanwhile on Friday, Rathvilly got the better of Mount Leinster Rangers by a point and Palatine defeated Old Leighlin by 6 points.
