A Kilkenny school is seeking planning permission to expand

A school on the outskirts of Kilkenny city is aiming to expand.

St. Patrick’s on the Kells Road has submitted a planning application to the county council looking to build a single-storey extension.

These proposed works would see a reconfiguration of the existing building, elevation with a relocated entrance lobby, a new entrance canopy, six classroom special needs units, and a central activities area.

Meanwhile, outside there’ll be a new bike shelter and car parking spaces, hard and soft play areas, and landscaping.
