Christoph Waltz admits he thought twice before signing up to play the next Bond villain.
The Austrian actor has told GQ magazine he only wanted to star in a ‘certain kind’ of 007 film, and Spectre – which is in production now – is not the work of ‘hack writers’.
The star’s also dismissed persistent rumours he’s playing Bond villain Blofield. In his own words – “That is absolutely untrue. That rumour started on the internet, and the internet is a pest. The name of my character is Franz Oberhauser”
Could it be a red herring? Or could the dispute over the naming of Blofield, last seen in For Your Eyes Only have Oberhauser as the same character?
