Around 1,000 visitors are set to descend on Carlow Town today!
The Carlow Triathlon – which is the 5th largest in the country – takes place at 12.15 and is expected to attract in the region of 500 people.
While one of the biggest Irish cycling events, the An Post Rás will then be coming to town from around half past 3 this afternoon.
The first of 8 stages in the cycle is finishing in Carlow Town with the second then beginning from there tomorrow morning.
Carlow County Museum will act as the staging area and speaking to KCLR, Curator, Dermot Mulligan says it’s great for the area.
