The annual Kevin Barry commemoration will take place at 3pm today in Rathvilly in Carlow.
Organised by Carlow Sinn Féin, the event honours the 18-year-old medical student executed in Dublin during the War of Independence.

Prominent republican activist Eibhlín Glenholmes will address the crowd as the day’s main speaker.
Musical tributes at the ceremony will be provided by the Strabane Memorial Flute Band.
