Another Independent hopeful declares for local elections in Kilkenny

Another new face could be on the ballot for the local elections in Kilkenny in May.

Luke O’Connor has declared his intention to run as an independent in the city area.

Meanwhile, it remains to be seen whether or not more towns and villages will opt for a ban on election posters.

Last week KCLR reported that so far three local areas – Tullahought, Leighlinbridge and Rathvilly – are asking candidates not to put up posters.
