Anxious wait for Dan Morrissey workers as company goes back into receivership

160 jobs hang in the balance in Carlow this afternoon.

KCLR News understands that a receiver has been appointed again to Dan Morrissey’s and that meetings are being held at the company’s headquarters this afternoon between them and the company.

Its believed that a deal to bring in a new investor is proving to be a sticking point.

An eye-witness says the gates to their site in Clonmelsh has been closed off.

The company was placed into examinership recently after applying to the high court when a receiver stopped in.

Local TD Pat Deering says it’s extremely worrying.
