Carlow’s Eamonn Tracey has an anxious wait ahead of him to find out if he’ll retain his World Plough title after todays final stage of the championship in Estonia.
The Garryhill man who’s seeking his third world title in a row, had earlier competed in the stubble event.
Up to five competitors are in the running for the title but they won’t find out until later tonight when the results are announced at a gala banquet.
His son Steve says its very tight but anything is possible,
“He could be first today, he could be fifth, look there’s a possibility he could win it overall, but the Denmark man, that was 18 marks ahead yesterday, was very good again today.”
“It’s a bit of a mountain to climb to get up to him, but look anything is possible, but hopefully we’ll get on the podium tonight and maybe the podium over the two days as well.”
