Appeal issued for witnesses to ‘alleged incident of serious assault’ in county Kildare

Gardaí are looking to speak to anybody who may have witnessed an alleged incident of serious assault in County Kildare on Tuesday (14th April 2026).

A man aged in his thirties was taken to Naas General Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening but serious injuries from a commercial premises on Newbridge Road in Naas at about 10pm.

A technical examination of the scene was carried out and investigations are ongoing.

Anyone who saw what happened or who was in the area between 9:30pm & 10:30pm on the night, in particular those with footage of any type, is asked to contact Naas Garda Station on (045) 884 300, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.
