Attendance to Special Kilkenny Coco meeting to be limited next Monday
Attendance will be limited for next Mondays special council meeting to discuss the Central Access Scheme.
A statement has been issued by council management today ahead of the meeting.
This special meeting, due to happen in County Hall at 3 o clock on Monday, will see members consider a motion from Councillors Breda Gardner, Kathleen Funchion and Malcolm Noonan looking for work on the new bridge to be suspended.
Director of Services with the local authorities John McCormack has today issued a statement proposing the strict enforcement of standing orders which only allows 20 members of the public to attend meetings.
He says tickets have been issued to those who made presentations at recent meetings both for and against the Central Access Scheme.
Each side has been given 10 tickets to distribute to those who intend to go along to Mondays meeting.
Mr McCormack says this decision was taken in order to avoid a repeat of the unruly scenes at the last meeting held to deal with the issue.
