Local fire services were called to fight a large gorse fire on Monday night.
Crews from Bagenalstown were notified at about 11.35pm that there was an extensive fire on Mount Leinster.
A number of units tackled what they’ve described as “miles of gorse fire” along the mountain before eventually bringing it under control.
