Its a bit later than normal but Bagenalstown will be getting its Christmas sparkle this year.
There was fears the town would be left in the dark after funding issues arose in relation to the Christmas lights.
But its emerged that the first lights went up yesterday with the rest and the Tree expected to follow shortly.
Fine Gael Councillor Denis Foley told KCLR news there shouldnt have been a funding problem in the first place.
