“Ballinkillen’s Kathleen Chada speaks at EU Parliament on Patriarchal Violence

Local woman Kathleen Chada spoke at the EU Parliament in Brussels yesterday evening on the topic of patriarchal violence.

Kathleen’s two young sons, Eoghan and Ruairí, were tragically murdered by their father in 2013.

The Ballinkillen woman has become a powerful advocate for others who have suffered the loss of a loved one to violence.

In an interview with KCLR News, she expressed her honour at being invited to speak at the EU by MEP Kathleen Funchion as part of the feminist forum.
