Ballyknockan Manor Estate to be taken in charge by Carlow Council

Carlow County Council may yet look into purchasing an unfinished estate in Leighlinbridge.

Ballyknockan Manor Estate is set to be taken in charge by the council in the coming months – giving them responsibility for its maintenance while still being owned by the developer.

Local councillor Michael Doran says it was left unfinished because the developer ran out of money.

He told KCLR News that the council have no plans as it stands to purchase the estate, but it may considered further down the line.
