Black ice warning issued for road users in Carlow and Kilkenny

Care’s needed on local roads this morning following overnight frost. 

Black ice has been reported on a number of smaller routes across Carlow and Kilkenny.

In particular between Goresbridge and Bagenalstown where there was an early morning crash at Barraghcore earlier this morning – KCLR News understands nobody was seriously injured in this incident.

Added to that visibility’s poor in parts of both counties.

Meanwhile, a lane of the Kilkenny Ring Road between the Bennettsbridge and Bohernatounish road roundabouts has reopened after being closed for a time earlier with gardaí directing traffic away from an obstruction.
