Body discovered in the River Barrow yesterday

Local gardai have confirmed a body has been discovered in the River Barrow in Carlow.

The body of a male was found at 3.30pm yesterday at Orchard in Leighlinbridge.

His remains have since been removed to University Hospital Waterford and a post mortem is due to take place tomorrow.
