Body found in search for missing Kilkenny man

A body has been found during the search for a missing Kilkenny man.

The remains of Shane Drennan were found near the city centre this morning and the search has now been stood down.

He had been missing since Thursday night last.

His family wants to thank the Kilkenny Sub Aqua, Kilkenny civil defense and volunteers who took part in the search.

Meanwhile his funeral arrangements have been announced, requiem mass is on Wednesday at 1pm in St. Mary’s Cathedral followed by burial to Foulkstown Cemetery.
