Body of a man discovered in Kilkenny

The body found in Kilkenny City this morning was a local man its been confirmed.

Gardai say they are are not treating the death as suspicious

Emergency services were called to the scene of a green area at Blackquarry just off the Bennettsbridge road in Kilkenny at around half past 11 this morning where 2 local boys had found the body of a man in his late 20’s.

Investigations were carried out at the scene by Gardai – those are understood to be complete now and the mans body has been removed to Waterford University hospital for a post mortem.

Gardai say the mans death is not believed to be suspicious.
