Body of a woman discovered in Tipperary

Gardaí are investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of a woman’s body in Clonmel, County Tipperary.

The body was found shortly before three o’clock yesterday afternoon.

The scene remains preserved as the Garda Technical Bureau carries out an examination.

The State Pathologist and the local Coroner have been notified, and a post-mortem examination will take place.

Gardaí say the results will determine the next steps in the investigation.
