The boil water notice for 124 houses in the Galmoy area has finally been lifted.
Since the 8th of July, those on the Galmoy Group Water and Replacement Water supply schemes have had to boil their water before using it.
This was after samples of the water at the treatment plant there had shown that the disinfection of the water had been compromised – and that silt had built up in the reservoir.
Irish Water and the HSE say that all issues have now been resolved.
