Preparations begin later for the annual hosting of the Borris Fair.
The event, held on the Catholic Feast of the Assumption, takes place in the county Carlow spot tomorrow but traders and attendees are due to arrive from this evening.
Gardaí will be on checkpoint duty at points today with restrictions on vehicles travelling through the main street in place from about 5 o’clock this evening.
There will be no through-traffic tomorrow as stalls are set out from early morning to about 5pm while those attending are also advised there will be no official carpark for the event and vehicles will not be allowed to park up at the Factory Cross.
