Carlow man Brendan Murphy has been named on the Higher Education Football team of the year.
The Rathvilly footballer who featured for IT Carlow in this years Sigerson Cup is named at midfield on the Rising Stars football team for 2015.
Brian Troy who plays with the Emeralds club in Kilkenny makes the hurling team for his performances with UL as they claimed the Fitzgibbon cup this year.
Both local men will be honoured at a function in Croke park next Tuesday.
