Busy weekend for Carlow Gardaí after a number of arrests
It was a busy weekend for Gardaí in Carlow.
A number of people were arrested between Friday night and yesterday for offences including public order and possession.
Beginning on Friday evening, two people were arrested for public order offences, with a further two arrested for the same in the town the following night.
One man was taken in and charged on Saturday in connection with a theft in the Bagenalstown area.
Another was arrested for oustanding warrants. Both of those men were before a special sitting of Carlow District Court yesterday.
One person was taken into custody after a small quantity of cannabis herb was found on them on Saturday night.
Meanwhile, Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a couple of incidents of criminal damage in the early hours of Sunday morning.
At about 5am, a window was broken at a house in Laurel Park, Pollerton.
Then, just 15 minutes later, at a quarter past 5, a number of windows in the front of a house in Grange Court – also in Pollerton – were broken.
In that instance the windscreen of the car outside was broken as well.
Gardaí believe the two incidents may have been carried out by the same person or people and are looking for anyone who may have any information to contact them on 059 9136620.
