A water booster system is required to improve pressure levels in one of Ferrybank’s most rapidly growing areas.
That’s the view of a local resident who believes that the need will become even greater once an approved 98 housing unit development at Abbeygate, and a creche for approximately 40 children, is delivered.
Damien Donoghue, who ran for Fine Gael in the Piltown Muncipal District in the last Local Elections and is the party’s Chair for the Carlow Kilkenny constituency, told KCLR News that an engineer informed him about water pressure issues in the area 10 years ago – and that it was high time something was done about it.
He says; “This is very important that the residents and the businesses get this water booster system in because the water is way too low, it is at a chronic stage now, there’s a business of a coffee shop, there’s a dog grooming hairdressers all that need water and Kilkenny County Council really need to get onto this, act on this as soon as possible and get this water booster system in”.
