Calls on local community groups to join forces and combat rural crime

Community groups in Carlow and Kilkenny are being urged to join forces with other counties to combat rural crime.

The call comes from Laois Community Alert who want to establish a network of community groups and put forward a proposal to the government on what can be done to deal with this issue.

Speaking to KCLR News, Chair of Laois Community Alert, John Coughlan says it’s about bringing back a sense of security to people.
