Candidates for local elections cannot put up posters until April 23rd

downloadLocal election candiates across Carlow and Kilkenny will only be allowed erect their posters from the 23rd of April-a month before polling day

Envoiriment Minister Phil Hogan has published several guidelines for the May elections including that all posters for candiates be removed within seven days of the poll

Spending on the local elections will also be limited depending on the size of the electoral area with a maximum of 13k being allowed by any potential council hopeful

Voting will get underway across Carlow and Kilkenny on Friday May 23rd at 7am with polls closing at 10pm
