Both the Carlow footballers and Kilkenny hurlers have announced their captains for the upcoming season.
For Carlow, Old Leighlin’s Mikey Bambrick will wear the captain’s armband, with Palatine’s Conor Crowley serving as vice-captain. Carlow’s Allianz Football League Division 4 campaign kicks off this Saturday evening at 6:00 PM, as they host Tipperary at Netwatch Cullen Park. You can catch all the action live on KCLR, with coverage brought to you by Dan Morrissey & Co.
In Kilkenny, Thomastown’s John Donnelly has been nominated as captain for the hurling season ahead. Donnelly’s nomination follows a standout year where he played a key role in Thomastown’s county title win and earned an All-Star nomination for his performances with the Cats. He was also recognized as the KCLR Hurling Podcast Player of the Year. Peter McDonald has been named co-captain alongside Donnelly.
The Kilkenny hurlers will begin their Allianz League campaign this Sunday at 2:00 PM with a clash against Clare in Ennis. That game will also be broadcast live on KCLR.
