‘Captain’s Homecoming’ taking place in Mullinavat this evening after hundreds turn out in Kilkenny City last night

It seems the wind and rain were no deterrent for people who came out in their hundreds to support the Kilkenny Camogie teams last night.
The Intermediate and Senior teams were driven by open-top bus through the streets before arriving at the Courthouse on Parliament Street where the crowds were being entertained by local musicians and replays of both matches.
Both teams were welcomed out onto the balcony with the O’Duffy and McGrath cups to rapturous applause.
The Intermediate team were first up with captain Áine Fahey paying tribute to all her teammates and backroom team as well.
The two teams are due in Mullinavat this evening for the Captain’s Homecoming.
There’ll be music and entertainment from 5.30 in the carpark of the Rising Sun with the teams expected to arrive at about 6.30.
