Temperatures are on the rise and the Carlow / Kilkenny area could see 18 degrees today.
After blasts of icy and rainy weather, it’s shaping up to be the hottest day of the year so far with the sunshine spell due to last until Saturday.
Ailis Hankinson, Meteorologist with Met Éireann, has the outlook for the day, noting; “We have a lovely dry and sunny day today, plenty of Spring sunshine, that’s down to an area of high pressure that’s been building just to the north west of us, so yeah we will see max temperatures today of 13 to 17 degrees but possibly reaching 18 degrees locally in some inland areas”.
Stay tuned to hear from Alan O’Reilly of Carlow Weather on his weekly slot on The KCLR Daily (10am-1pm).
