Carlow and Kilkenny interest in today’s Olympic action

The Olympics continues to dominate conversations and TV screens and today there’s further action from Carlow and Kilkenny linked athletes.

Sophie Becker from Wexford, whose mother Tina Cody hails from Kilkenny city, goes in the Women’s 400 Repechage Round alongside fellow Irishwoman Sharlene Mawdsley at 10:20 this morning.

Carlow’s Finn Lynch is in the Men’s Dinghy Medal Race from 2:43pm.

Cyclists Mia Griffin from Glenmore and Carlow born, now Wicklow based, Lara Gillespie are part of the Irish group for the Women’s Team Pursuit who take part in the qualifying heat from 4:30pm.
