Carlow and Kilkenny ‘Little Heroes’ Honoured for Bravery in the Pool

Two boys from Kilkenny and Carlow have been named among the most inspiring children in the country at the Water Babies Little Heroes Awards.

15 month old Ollie Brennan from Kilkenny and 5 year old Christopher Brennan from Myshall both overcame complex developmental and health challenges to master the pool.

Water Babies say swimming has provided a “calm sanctuary” for Christopher’s autism and vital physical therapy for Ollie’s cerebral palsy.

The national awards celebrate children who have overcome significant health challenges or developmental obstacles through the power of the water.
