Two Carlow players and one Kilkenny star have been named in the GAA Hurling Team of the Week following their performances in the National Hurling League.
Carlow’s James Doyle and Chris Nolan earned their places after playing key roles in their side’s stunning victory over Waterford at Netwatch Cullen Park. Nolan was in electric form, racking up an impressive 2-3, while Doyle added two crucial points to help Carlow secure a well-deserved win.
Meanwhile, Kilkenny’s Mossie Keoghan made the Team of the Week for the second consecutive time. Despite Kilkenny’s defeat to Galway at UPMC Nowlan Park, Keoghan delivered a superb individual performance, scoring five points from play in the first half alone and finishing with a total of seven.
This recognition comes on the back of a stellar few weeks for the Tullaroan sharpshooter. Last week, Keoghan was named GAA.ie Player of the Week after his impressive display in Kilkenny’s victory over Clare in Ennis, where he scored five points in challenging conditions at Cusack Park. That performance also saw him earn a spot on the Team of the Week, alongside Young Ireland’s Mikey Carey.
