Some home talent’s to the fore of Ireland’s representation in the Pan Celtic International Festival’s Song Competition.
The Irish heat took place at the GB Shaw Theatre in Visual Carlow on Saturday night agus dúirt Bríde de Róiste linn “Bhí ócáid alainn agus comórtas den scoth againn i mblina”.

First place was awarded to Dúlra Scriosta by Dave Barron & Fiach Ó Muircheartaigh performed by Fiach with Clara Hutchinson – they now go forward to the main event which will be hosted by Carlow again in April.
Claire Dunne, Melíosa Breathnach & enCÓre’s track ‘Os mo Chomhair’ came second with the third spot taken by Éabha Breathnach who both wrote and sung ‘Ceanndána’.

All involved have been thanked by organisers, including judges Órla Fallon, Charlie McGettigan and KCLR’s Martin Bridgeman as well as the crew at Hedgehog Productions who recorded the night’s proceedings.
