A local Cystic Fibrosis sufferer says Orkambi would make a huge difference to her life.
Maria Delaney is part of a group of people who have come together to set up a pop-up chic fashion shop on the Potato Market in Carlow to raise money for CF Ireland and Carlow Hospice.
Talks between the HSE and the company Vertex, which makes the CF drug, Orkambi have been underway since August.
At the moment it would cost €160,000 per patient per year and the health service are trying to negotiate that down.
Speaking on KCLR Live today, Maria says she would love to be able to access it.
