Carlow community coming to terms with sudden death of young man

A local community is coming to terms with the sudden death of a young Carlow man in the US.

Michael Ryan from Ballymurphy, a medical student in his early 20’s had just completed his 4th year in the Royal College of Surgeons recently.

It’s understood he had taken ill recently in America where he had travelled for the summer and passed away this week.

Carlow’s intermediate camogie championship clash with Laois has been postponed as a mark of respect to his family.

His sister Áine is a member of the squad.
