Carlow Councillor Ben Ward calls for more speed camera signage on N80

A Carlow Councillor is calling for more signage along the N80 to warn motorists about its speed camera.

Ben Ward made the call at the Tullow monthly meeting and again at yesterday’s County Council gathering after 15,000 fines were issued on the stretch, the second highest figure in the country.

He told KCLR News he wants a driver feedback sign installed before the camera, which would display a motorist’s speed and alert them to slow down before they’re clocked going faster than they should;
