Carlow county council will discuss the affects of the recent flooding at their first meeting of the new year today.
The local authorities response since December 26th has already cost more than 60 thousand euro.
However, the council are estimating it will cost 200 thousand euro to fix the damaged roads across county Carlow.
In the 7 days between the 24th and 30th of December 100mm of rain fell in Carlow alone.
