With the by-election now over, one local Fianna Fáil councillor has her sights firmly set on the General Election.
Carlow’s Jennifer Murnane O’Connor missed out on the opportunity to run in the race to occupy Phil Hogan’s vacant Dáil seat but says she is fully intent on running next time around.
Fianna Fáil have come under fire this week for the lack of female members of their parliamentary party after Senator Averil Power resigned on Monday.
Speaking to KCLR, Councillor Murnane-O’Connor says she feels Carlow is in need of more representation.
