There is a huge weekend ahead for Carlow club football, with three county finals taking place at Netwatch Cullen Park.
The action gets underway on Saturday evening when Ballon face Tinryland in the Talbot Hotel Carlow Intermediate Football Championship final, with throw-in at 6pm.
Sunday sees O’Hanrahans take on Palatine in the Junior final at 2pm, before Rathvilly meet Old Leighlin in the Michael Lyng Motors Senior Football Championship decider at 4pm.
The senior final is a repeat of last year’s showdown, when Old Leighlin emerged victorious. Rathvilly will be determined to turn the tables this time around, with Kevin Murphy hoping for a third county title.
Speaking to KCLR ahead of the game, Murphy stressed the importance of learning from last year’s defeat and ensuring his side do not experience the same disappointment again.
“It’s whoever wants it more. It’s about correcting our wrongs from last year, and not walking off the field with the same feeling as last year.”
All three county finals will be brought to you live on KCLR, with thanks to Dan Morrissey and Co.
