Carlow hospital unveils first-ever “Cuddle Bed” to offer patients and loved ones a cozy, closer connection

A hospital in Carlow has unveiled a new “cuddle bed.”

The Friends of District Hospital bought the bed with some funding from the Carlow County Hospice.

It sleeps two people and allows patients to have a snuggle with their loved ones.

The cuddle bed is a first of its kind for Carlow, and cost 20,000 euro.
