Carlow to host a stage of 2015 An Post Rás

The details for the 2015 An Post Ras have been announced and Carlow will host a start and a finish this year.

The international cycle race will begin in Dunboyne, travelling clockwise around Ireland with stage finishes in Carlow, Tipperary, Bearna, Newport, Ballina, Ballinamore and Drogheda, before the customary finale in Skerries.

Stage one starts in Dunboyne on Sunday May the 17th and passes through Hacketstown and Ballon and will finish in Carlow Town.

Then on Monday the 18th, Stage two starts in Carlow Town and takes in Paulstown and Cuffsgrange and finishes up in Tipperary.

Around five hundred personnel involved will all stay in Carlow on the night of Sunday May 17th.
