The visitors trailed by 2-8 to 0-8 at the break and were just two points adrift of the Kingdom midway through the second half when Mikey Boyle hit a rocket of a shot to the Carlow net to seal the game for Kerry
Carlow’s final game of the league proper is next weekend in Dr Cullen Park at home to Westmeath
