Carlow & Kilkenny doing their bit for positive mental health this week

The annual Mensana event is underway in Carlow with lots planned for Mental Health Awareness week.

Theres more than 50 activities taking place in the town and county starting today and running until next weekend.

Joanne Donohue is PRO with Carlow mental health association says there’s lots of variety in the programme with full details on their website and facebook page.

Meanwhile organisations in Kilkenny are also doing their bit to promote positive mental health.

Lifeline Kilkenny is a local suicide prevention group and its secretary Trish Finnegan says their AGM is on this Wednesday night in the Ormonde Hotel.

They also have a fundraiser- the Magenta Ball – taking place this Saturday night.
