Local secondary school students will take part in a National Flag ceremony at Croke park today.
Every second level school across Carlow and Kilkenny will be represented for the event.
6 thousand students will attend the event – which will feature a keynote address from President Michael D Higgins.
The tricolour – as a symbol of peace – will be celebrated at today’s event.
