Carlow Kilkenny TD John McGuinness suggests Government lacks ‘real social conscience’ following Budget 2027 reveal

Local TD John McGuinness has suggested Government lacks ‘real social conscience’ following the reveal of Budget 2027.

The Fianna Fáil party representative, one of three in the Carlow Kilkenny constituency, in the Dáil while welcoming some of the measures detailed, also outlined his dismay at the failure to help small businesses, and the failure to tax banks and vulture funds more.

He mentioned a number of local retail outlets too that have had to either cut-back or close down in recent times.
