The Carlow Town Council chain, which had been formally used until the Council’s abolition in 2014, should never have been removed from Carlow’s County Museum according to former Town Councillor Walter Lacey.
A question over Carlow Town’s local authority chains, triggered by an Irish Times report, led to a disagreement between Mayor Paul Doogue and Councillor Andrea Dalton towards the end of yesterday’s Carlow Municipal District meeting, which continued on The KCLR Daily this morning.
Brian Redmond spoke to Dermot Keyes of KCLR News, who attended yesterday’s Municipal District meeting, where the discussion about the chains brought a largely uneventful meeting to an animated conclusion.
