Carlow mum might take 6 year old Finlay to England for surgery after waiting months for appointment at Waterford University hospital

A Carlow mother is considering taking her 6 year old son to England for the surgery he needs after months of waiting here.

Roisin Whitty says they have been told that its likely to be early next year before her son Finlay could be operated on for recurring ear infections.

It comes as new figures show nearly 3 thousand children are on waiting lists for hospitals around the country.

Roisin says she is looking at other options now for her son.
