Carlow ploughman Eamon retains his national title

Fresh from retaining his national title at the Ploughing championships in Ratheniska yesterday a Carlow ploughman is off to Denmark this morning.
Eamon Tracey is currently the reigning World Champion too after becoming the first Irishman to win it in nearly 20 years last year in Bordeaux.
Next week he will bid to defend that crown at the 2015 World Ploughing championships in Denmark.
The closing day in Ratheniska also proved successful for another local man yesterday – Kilkennys PJ Hartley won the Under 21 Conventional Junior title.
The 3 day event attracted record numbers again with 281 thousand attending making it the most successful year in history.
Next year Screggan in Tullamore will play host from September 20th.
